Art Across America

Sculpture project on grounds
of

NATURAL ENERGY LABORATORY OF HAWAII AUTHORITY (NELHA)
73-4460 Queen Kaahumanu Hwy. #101
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii USA 96740-2637

Call to the community of Kailua- Kona for design concept of a new sculpture to be built along HWY #101 on the grounds of NELHA.

An organization called Art Across America will be working with local artists and community members to build a 20 ft tall sculpture, which intends to be based on the design of a vertical wind turbine. The sculpture will be built from reclaimed materials from the big island. We are asking for suggestions of simple ideas and concepts of what the sculpture may look like and/or represent. The sculpture is to be built during the month of July.

Input from you is appreciated to represent what you wish to see on the side of the highway.

Please go to artacrossamerica.org to submit your ideas
